GLOW BABY: THIS APP WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE WITH A NEWBORN MUCH EASIER!

Hey everyone! If you’re here, chances are you are living with, or have a dear loved one living with a newborn. This probably means your life has been heavily impacted by the effects of baby brain. Well, I’m here to let you know, there is help lol. This blog has been inspired today by my dear sister who introduced me to a game-changing app called Glow Baby.

What is Glow Baby? It basically fills in the gaps where baby brain has caused a black hole of forgetfulness. This app has so many features which help you keep track of all things related to your newborn! You can keep track of the following:

  • Feedings
    • Time of feedings
    • Amount of milk
    • Type of feeding (breast milk, formula, fed straight from breast or bottle fed. And if you fed from your breast, it keeps a timer for how long your baby fed from each breast so you can get a general idea of how much they ate!)
  • Diapers
    • Time of soiled diaper
    • Type of soiled diaper
    • Consistency of bowel movements (believe it or not, this is very important to track. Especially in the first weeks of baby’s life.)
  • Sleep
    • Length of naps
    • Time of naps
    • Length of wake periods
  • Pumping
    • Length of pumping
    • Amount of milk collected
    • Data for each breast
    • Time of last pump
  • Milestones
    • Date of milestone achieved
    • Photo of milestone
  • Symptoms

AND SO MUCH MORE!

You can also receive alerts to remind you when to feed your baby (this is SO helpful in the first few, sleep deprived weeks of baby’s life), when to pump, etc. All this data also collects on a nice little chart that you can show to your doctor (the first few visits, these questions are asked.) Sometimes, in this dark period of scatter brained confusion, we don’t even think, “Wow, my baby hasn’t pooped!” These things can slip your mind, probably on purpose lol (who doesn’t feel lucky when they’re not the one that has to change the poopy diaper?).

What’s even cooler about the app is the ability to share the app with other caregivers (spouse, mother-in-law, anyone who will be regularly caring for your baby). This feature definitely was SO useful for my fiance and I, especially when we first brought the baby home. If either one of us stepped out of the house, there was no need to frantically call the other person to see when the baby was last fed, just check the app.

There is also a wealth of information on the app and message boards where parents can interact, share experiences, etc. This definitely helped me 50 times a day when I would freak out about something, that I now know to be normal. The app also pushes information to you every so often and lets you know about any developmental leaps your baby may be experiencing during the next few weeks. This is instrumental in helping you understand why sometimes your little one may be inexplicably irritable, so trust me parents, take advantage of this information!

Please give the app a try and let me know if you love it as much as I do! I always love hearing you feedback. As always, don’t forget to like, comment, subscribe, and share! 🙂

It’s truly like a whirlwind isn’t it?! I used to write things on my Notes app or in a little jotter but the app looks like a gift from the heavens in comparison x
